Summer outdoor activities
Activities include riding horses high in the Rocky Mountains or fly fishing in postcard-worthy, mountain-ringed, crystalline Brainard Lake, where cutthroat, rainbow, and brook trout await. Majestic hiking, road, and mountain bike trails from easy to heart-pounding. We can also connect you with expert guides to help you summit the 14,259 ft Longs Peak or take you to one of the many world-class rock climbing locations in Boulder County.

Winter outdoor activities
Winter is a magical time to visit the Hotel Columbia, and this winter is made even more special with our new Winter Activities Program. Strap on a pair of snowshoes and explore the serene Indian Peaks Wilderness, or cross-country skiing on trails or enjoy a winter wonderland experience by spending a cozy, comfortable afternoon nestled by the fire in the Hotel’s library, enjoying hot chocolate, board games, and a warm lunch celebrating life’s simple pleasures. You have the opportunity to do as much or as little as you choose, without feeling guilty.
